Hello everyone, One message this week. Terry Waller of Becta terry.waller at becta.org.uk has asked me to pass on information about a course run by the Drake Music Project on Inclusive Music Making Through Technology - for details see below. Lesley Rahamin SENIT Co-Moderator lesley.rahamin at btinternet.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drake Music Project four day course in Inclusive Music Making Through Technology Shrewsbury May 29th to June 1st This four day course is intended to enable anyone working with people and music to ensure everyone can access their provision - regardless of any physical disability - through the use of mainstream and assistive music technology. Music practitioners who would find this course useful include teachers, music workshop leaders, youth workers, freelance community musicians and music therapists. The first three days look at the different technologies we use at Drake to run inclusive music workshops and performances. During the course there is equal emphasis placed on background, theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience. The maximum number of participants on the course is 8. We set up enough equipment so that there is ample opportunity for everyone to gain lots of hands-on practical work. The next four day course will be run at the Belmont Arts Centre in Shrewsbury, from 29th May to the 1st June. The cost for the 4 days is £300. To book a place on the course please contact our national office on 0208 692 9000. For more details on the course please contact Doug Brigs on 0161 225 7402. |
