I have setup a lunchtime 'Computer Club' with playstations and XBox games. Over 1/2 the school signed up for it and it is the most popular club we run. All of our students are transported by taxi so after school clubs are not possible. Similarly, our school catchment is the whole of Essex LA and with a number of students being in wheelchairs visiting their school friends is rare, if not impossible. The social aspects of the club are many - we have mixed the ages and the abilities and it is great to see the students helping each other. All I do is facilitate the club - I'm useless at these games (as my son constantly reminds me!). The equipment and games have cost us nothing - I did a local BBC radio appeal and had a fantastic response. ----Original Message---- From: aaww3876 at john-watson.oxon.sch.uk Date: 29/04/2007 13:16 To: <senit at lists.becta.org.uk> Subj: [senit] gaming systems Does anyone use or has seen a nintendo Wii or a playstation 2 being used effectively in schools?
