[senit] SENIT at BETT

I know this has come up before and I guess its worth commenting on again 

Ive always seen SENIT as a community / support group and immensely valuable as such 

I suppose I would be a little anxious if that shifted to us establishing a Senit "view" on anything 

I think it's a little uncomfortable to think that as a member of a mailing list - that a "corporate" view could be out forward that I may or may not agree with. 

Personally I think there could be a useful session discussing the Bercow review but that should inform individual members responding - rather than a SENIT response 

If we go down writing a SENIT opinion on any issue - I think it needs to be clarified how that is drafted and hence ratified by what would then become a membership organisation 

Jeff - sorry if this sounds at all negative - its not intended - but I think we always need to be mindful of the diversity on the list, and ive never really known us all agree about anything - and to be honest isnt that range of opinions one of the reasons the list thrives ?
