Article: [senit] vista

Just in general, especially for the "casual installer" (not working via
pre-crafted images), one of Vista's biggest headaches is the install...
where the "account management" tries to block almost everything (turn it off
in the Control Panel under Users). Other problems have appeared with many
text-to-speech systems because of Vista's security - especially when
combined with some other pre-loaded virus protection [junk] like Norton or
McAfee.

It is frustrating, as a user, to be constantly advising vendors of what
types of error messages appear during Vista installs, software registration,
or use. Just as with Microsoft, you'd wish this was tested by the developer,
and "known-issues" were explained in advance. It would be even nicer if
vendors didn't deny the problems that we are actually having ("we've not
seen any problems").

but then these jobs would be less interesting, right?
