Hi, The Webcam is fine for messenging purposes, low res but a clear image and its easy/effective to tweak for lighting conditions etc. The pre-installed versions of Skype & Pidgin don't (yet) do video calling etc - but between them do voice/text messenging to pretty much every service. The built in mic is good for voice calls, voice commands and such. The screen is a slight let down, I guess a big factor in keeping the price low. There's a VGA out providing better resolutions. Its not a bad physical size and not too uncomfortable moving from a desktop, but 800x600 resolution would make a massive difference to it. 800x480 is practical for browsing and editing although occassionally annoying and obviously you're scrolling a lot. For internet, multimedia, simple office documents, elearning etc its more than adequate. Graphics are suprisingly spritely - runs 3D games and apps usably and the display itself is bright and crisp.
