[Commercial interest declared] As Ian said, WriteOnline will work on the Asus mini book as well as Mac OS X and Windows. Kevin and I will be showing WriteOnline at the Special Needs Fringe. Unfortunately I don't think we'll have any of the ASUS machines at the Fringe. But if you're wanting to see what WriteOnline looks like on the Asus mini book we'll have a couple on our BETT stand. There's more information about WriteOnline here: <http://www.cricksoft.com/uk/writeonline/> Andrew -- Andrew Burt Technical Development Manager Crick Software Ltd, UK > -----Original Message----- > From: senit-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk > [mailto:senit-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of barry andrews > Sent: 08 December 2007 21:02 > To: senit at lists.becta.org.uk > Subject: RE: [senit] Asus Mini Books > > Ian > > I've tried to find info on Write online on the Crick > Website but there's nothing there - I did find some mentions > on the Gaurdian website that seem quite complimentary. > > Have you had a chance to look at it? or has anyone else? > > Barry > > Ian Butterworth <ianb23 at btinternet.com> wrote: > If you are going to the Fringe or BETT have a look at > Write-Online by Crick Software which is a web based word > processor with prediction, wordbars, speech and runs on the > Asus mini book. > > I have only had a very quick look but I was impressed by the > apparent build quality and variety of ports including 3 USB2, > monitor, and network plus wireless [although I'm not sure of > the speed etc].
