I too would not touch Vista in a real school enviroment yet.
I have a version at home and I have found that there are a lot of problems  
with older XP software. OK some suppliers will provide vista updates for  
recently purchased software but it's the software that we tend to use the most  
i.e. the tried and tested old mainstays that will cause a problem. You can use  
MS virtual PC to run other operating systems within vista but you need a  
powerfull system.
