  Hi,

   the original question was how to give pupils access to some of the 
videos on YouTube, whilst making sure that nothing unsavoury was 
presented, with David asking as to how he could *easily* make a web page 
with links to these.

I've made up the most basic web page which you can download and then 
open with any text editor such as WordPad etc.  When you find a suitable 
YouTube video, you will also find on that page a link which allows you 
to embed that video in your own page.  You simply copy the 'Embed' info 
and paste it into the web page file that I have provided.  The result is 
a new web page with all of your favourite videos presented as thumbails, 
no need for pupils to actually go to the YouTube site itself.

For the nervous:  this involves the most simple of copy/paste work, 
don't be afraid to have a go.

It's very, very basic - I thought that having to paste amidst a whole 
bunch of html coding might put people off - but it does work.  I'd be 
glad to help out if anyone asks.

To get a copy of this file, just go to the link below.  When it has 
opened (and you have stopped laughing at the cats) - click your 
right-hand mouse button and select 'View page source'.  Save that out to 
a folder somewhere and open it with your simplest text editor.  You'll 
find instructions within the file.
