Article: [senit] Supporting a student with aphasia

Dear all

A colleague saw a post-graduate research student recovering from a
stroke, which has left him with Broca's Aphasia. He now tends to speak
in broken sentences, omitting all the little words, for example "I
Manchester train." (He means "I come to Manchester by train.") He also
finds himself typing like this, when attempting to produce written work.
He is has had a little experience of using the programs 'Read Please'
and Kurzweil, and is trialing 'Texthelp: Read and Write'. Can anyone
suggest a program which would more specifically help with picking up
where he may have omitted words and give suggestions for words to be
inserted? Any advice gratefully received on this, or other ways in which
support might be provided!! .

Many thanks
