I guided my children through 'My First INGOT' and helped my wife do an ECDL (sometimes needing to educate her beyond the rote instructions supplied). They are also low cost, flexible and promote 'community service'. In fact the INGOTS largely specify the competencies and leave the delivery mechanisms to the provider. They are are also suitable for CPD http://theingots.org/ Incidentally I have thought for some time that the earlier grades could be a starting point for people with learning difficulties and as they are flexible they should be easily adapted to cover Assistive Technology. -- Steve Lee -- Jambu - Alternative Access to Computers www.fullmeasure.co.uk |
