there are at least 2 plug-ins you can get that allow you to do this.  
One is eZeMatte by eZedia for about $20:

and the other is Picture & Movie from Kudlian, which comes as part of  
their 'Essential Tools for iLife' package. This costs £30 but  
includes a good range of further tools, and it's a Universal version  
so will run on Intel Macs as well as older ones:
