Check out the CyKey on http://www.cykey.co.uk/

It is the descendant of the Microwriter keyboard, and is a simple one handed
keyboard with an infra red USB connection to a PC.

Years ago, I had a lot to do with Microwriting and the wild claims that you
could learn to touch type in one hour are all true.

I have no commercial connection, although I know the person who makes them,
but I have to own up to a commercial interest in the other half of my
answer.

AllWrite is a program we developed to help visually impaired people to start
typing. Working on the assumption that learning to type, spell, use a
screen reader and learn a Word processor all at once is a tough call, we
developed a talking word processor that can use the keyboard shortcuts from
all the popular screen readers (HAL, JAWS, Window-Eyes, LookOut etc). It is
the only talking word processor with completely interactive speech on the
editing keys, menus and dialogue boxes.
