Article: [senit] Maths software for students with disabilities

I've just been trying the FXMaths series of programs as support for a
student just starting A level maths. I'm quite impressed with its
capabilities with the reservation that the keyboard access for geometric
drawing means that only a pointer user can really get the full benefit from
it. The equation editor, function plotter and statistics package are
pretty accessible to keyboards (and hence switch users) with one or two
small niggles (for example you can't zoom function graphs from the keyboard
as far as I can see).

The real plus is that the programs are FREE to students with
disabilities. well worth a look.
