thanks, ICT teachers in SLD might have some of the follwing roles with respect to the in-school ,teaching, side of the job. Some of these might be more common where the teacher does not have a class as well; *teach ICT curriculum to classes *set up ICT support for individuals in classes *support groups using ICT in classes *take out groups for ICT *take out individual students to develop ICT skills *team teach ICT with class teachers *do individual ICT assessments *support ICT across curric-how? Some of these might relate to the client group- eg it is presumably easier to teach ICT to a class of students with MLD than with PMLD. Others might depend on the host classes- eg it might be more productive to take a student out than compete with a class lesson. Others might depend on the stage of ICT reached by the class staff- eg more intervention in those classes needing it most. Does anyone have any comments on these modes of working and when they use one rather than another?Any other patterns of working? Also any more ICT teachers in SLD without a class out there? thanks david --- Richard Walter <richardwalter at ntlworld.com> wrote: > Yes I do, > but the school is not SLD but PMLD. > At the moment I work in the classes > to support groups, > and take groups in the multimedia > studio, > and do individual sessions to > develop specific skills, > and assess new pupils. > > I don't at present have a dedicated > LSA, but that might be changing next > year as my working pattern at > Meldreth is changing. > > Richard > > david fettes wrote: > > Hi anyone work as an ICT subject teacher in SLD > > without having a class?
