We have 42" smart boards. Previous ICT coordinator had purchased interactive boards from them and as the staff we already used to the software I stayed with them. They are fine and the touch sensitivity seems OK but we don't use the smart board software much anyway. The children do find the plasma so much easier to use as you don't get the shadow. I avoided the 50" for the Plasma and interactive white boards. Being only 5' I can reach across the board with out blocking the picture. I have also found that the big screen is too big when working with children with limited vision and mobility. The biggest find though was the high low trolley from INTERGREX which means children in wheelchairs can get close to the board but then when working with very young children it goes almost to the floor so they can reach. They do sell a the plasma and trolley together but im not sure which one. Can comment on the definition as I wasn't given a choice.
