most recent use was a couple of years ago so current version may have resolved issues:

- system uses PC's resources and that caused delay in processing.. possibly more of a comment on the capacity of the PC we were using (we were using professional 3D animation software which itself demanded processing resources)
- not sure if security IR system in room (in an FE college) caused problems.
- temporary mounting on a large CRT was tricky, had to keep keep taping it down, thus were not able to maintain consistent position (minor issue really)
- users had different abilities : cognitive and head control. not sure one learner understood what movements he had to make and so we were unsure which variable we had to address. eventually we stopped its use.
other user was an adult who had another head control system at home that had a different mode of operation (Oregon Systems?). Again, not sure which variable was the major cause of the lack of effectiveness of the SmartNav. Work was inconclusive and then , sadly, user died.

not positive I know but when I and colleagues have used SmartNav it has worked reasonably well.

We have had a request from a school to loan smartNav 3 Pro for   pupil.  Can 
anyone give us feedback on how they have used it is school or  what things to 
watch out for.
