I tried it last year with a Y9 student (athetoid CP) - it was tricky to get installed on school network (there's a surprise) - couldn't save her settings because the folder was accessible.

the timings of the dwell-click is crucial, also a potential confusion between the dwell-click built into the Smartnav software and the third party software supplied (from sensory Software). at first the technician set up the wrong one....

Having said that, it worked very well. We didn't seem to have any problems with other light sources etc. 

In the end we concluded it was too physically demanding for the student, and she opted to stop using it. I also suspect there was an issue around how to provide daily support in school - no-one really seemed to have the time or inclination to get to kow it for 'real use', and the network problems made it look too difficult. a pity I hadn't been able to try it a bit sooner really.

We have had a request from a school to loan smartNav 3 Pro for   pupil.  Can 
anyone give us feedback on how they have used it is school or  what things to 
watch out for.
