[senit] Web cam for BSL Users

I wonder whether anyone has any advice about recording a pupil's BSL work
via a web cam.  I've been asked to provide one for a Key Stage 1 BSL user to
record his answers.  Traditionally we have always used video camera (which
is our accepted form for exam recording for all signing students) but mum
says that is too invasive!  Will the image be good enough or will that be
very dependent on light levels?  How easy will it be to store his work &
might this be a feasible option?   

I'd appreciate any thoughts.
