We don't use p-scales in Scotland so I can't comment on this. We have been
using them effectively with pupils with delayed learning and pupils with
more embedded cognitive difficultues. I can't really generalise but
teachers like the reinforcement of emergent literacy skills that these
disks provide and also the 'switch' accessibility to include learners who
require this level of accessibility.
