Article: [senit] text size and search boxes

Matt,

do you mean cursor or caret?

one can change the cursor size: system preferences: universal access:
mouse & trackpad
on my system the largest size is well over 1cm.

one can also change the speed of response, and travel.

the caret blinks to indicate where one can insert text in a document.

On a related note....

With Windows Accessibility Options you can set your preferences so that
pressing the CTRL key shows you where your cursor is. I rely quite
heavily on this but am yet to find a similar function on my Mac. Is it
possible?

Matt

Not sure what the option is on Windows but Apple's Universal Access
makes this very easy. Zoom is one of the many tools for improving
access for users with special needs, and you can leave it turned on
so that all you have to do to use it is press a couple of keys
simultaneously. I've used it no end simply for grabbing the attention
of pupils when we're working in groups and I want to get them to
focus on a certain part of what's on screen.
In your case you can easily zoom in, type the text, then zoom out and
get on with the task at hand.
