Postgraduate Certificate by Distance Learning

>From October 2007 we are delighted to offer by Distance Learning our
postgraduate programme in inclusive education, entitled 'Inclusion and
Diversity in Education'.  This programme is for you if you are working
in a school with children or young people who may be marginalised or
excluded.  Taking special educational needs as a starting point, we
explore exclusionary pressures and inclusive practices, in relation to
diverse learners and to issues of social class, ethnicity and gender.
Modules studied include:

*	Inclusive Education in its Social Context
*	Developing Inclusive Practices
*	Special Studies Project 

Study in the comfort of your own home with new materials by some
outstanding authors; with first class support from well qualified
Personal Tutors and experienced support staff; access our WebCT course
with a wealth of specialist e-learning resources; and enjoy two study
weekends in Birmingham in comfortable Conference Park accommodation.  

The University of Birmingham has a well established reputation for
research and professional development in inclusion and special
educational needs and for successful Distance Learning programmes. Many
