Thanks for all of the useful suggestions. He isn't actually our client 
- we've just been asked to provide advice, but without getting the full 
picture. He has cerebral palsy and finds it hard to press the on/off 
switch. I don't know the make of the computer so it is possible that he 
would manage with a different computer. With some makes of computer 
(some Mac models come to mind) the biggest problem can be finding and 
pressing the on / off button!
