[senit] digital video cameras

hi, we have used our canon digital video cameras (mini
DV)with an apple ibook connected by firewire cable. We
have started using them on the school PC network using
a dazzle box which connects to the usb port on the PCs
(they havent got firewire). So are there digital video
cameras (good quality ones with full screen video like
the canon ones) that connect straight to the usb port
of PCS in this way , without the need for a dazzle
type box?? I thought originally the usb connectors on
video cameras were for downloading stills taken on the
camera, but as our dazzle route transfers the video to
computer no slower than firewire (well it seems to),
are digital video cameras with usb output a good idea?
