The RM Asus miniBook (which is a rebadged version of the Asus Eee PC) does
look interesting but I see a few problems with it looking at the specs.

The biggest problem is that it is a closed Linux system and so no software
can be added to it other than what it is supplied with.  So no special needs
software.  

The battery life is only two hours.  One of the big advantages of the Dana
was the 24 hours of battery life which meant it was easy to get through the
school day without having to plug in to recharge.
