| Article: [senit] simple switch music ...? | |
|
Following on from the DVD question - but simpler - I expect that many like me are frustrated by the fact that nowadays the trusty PowerLink does not work with the fancy new CD players or anything that has a 'standby' mode (but only with old fashioned simple tape players or other simple devices that are either OFF or ON). What solutions have people found for switch users to play music ? (I know you can do a lot on computer but I find this is too complicated for most homes and busy classroom assistants - apart from being an expensive sledge hammer to crack a nut....) BTW Has anyone tried these? on http://www.oatsoft.org/Software/cdspecial/ and http://www.oatsoft.org/Software/mymediaplayer-mmp Is it time we started hassling the suppliers to address this issue, for our pupils with the most severe and complex support needs? Also I am frustrated by the fact that the companies who used to make and sell switch adapted toys and devices (like Liberator) have now stopped doing so (fallen foul of EU safety regulations, again, I guess). Given that all this was simple many years ago, we seem to be going backwards not forwards...sigh.... any ideas?
