Article: [senit] simple switch music ...?

There is the switch accessible CD
player from Liberator,
But I think it is only stop/start
using a switch, not timed.
I don't know if you can use one of
the battery switch timers with them.
Timed cd playing (switch plays a cd
for a certain time and then pauses
waiting until the next switch press)
I think requires a computer.

The CD special which was written by
Jim Luther does work ok, however you
do have to watch out for the restart
time on CDs.
On the tests I've done with it it
does seem to pause the music ok but
the cd seems to take some time to
start up again so there is can be a
pause in the music after the switch
press.

Chris Hopkins wrote a switch
accessible CD player in Opus which
we use generally around school.
It allows one switch timed (you can
alter the timing), one switch hold
or one switch, one switch latched.
It has some basic animations that
you can add to.
So far it has worked well for timed
CD playing.

We generally use it for pupils to
switch their story CDs.
