Article: [senit] recorded speech cd?

Hi David,

The Sherston Phonic Clip Art cd-rom -

http://shop.sherston.com/ipw/default.aspx?prodid=32

has sound clips to accompany all the pictures on the disc (900 apparently),
as well as all the individual phoneme sounds. But as it is focused on
phonics, these tend to be cvc, cvvc, ccvc and cvcc words predominantly,
rather than high frequency words - so maybe not what you are after. I can't
remember if they are wav or mp3 format off the top of my head, but I think
they are the former.

It's a recommended resource, all the same!

hi to speed up making resources it would be handy to
have a cd of good quality recorded speech, say the
first thousand words (common words) read out in
ideally male and female voices . eg in wav or mp3
format.as a data cd ie a separate file for each word.
has anyone come across such a resource?
david
