[senit] Voice Activation

Hi All
I have been asked to support a school in introducing voice activated software/hardware into school. The only experience I have is with the early versions of Dragon dictate. 
Has anyone gt any ideas suggestions, pointers advice etc. on what to purchase. Many thanks
