I have had several instances myself of wanting to throw computers when they have crashed, so he has my sympathy. We had a student who would open multiple programs and it was only solved when we got a
new faster computer. Alternatively someone could use ctrl to select all but one of the programs and close them quickly before the computer crashes, it seems a shame though for his independence to be
eroded.
