thanks, I know the feeling. Have been informed that RM classmate will solve the problem of accessing the c drive but not that of opening multiple programs. Not sure if ranger solo could solve that. actually by making the computer conceptually appropriate to the student's needs we would be increasing real independence and arranging it for a visual learner, compared with the "paradox of choice" type effect of providing free access to thousands of "clickable" items in the average PC , most of which are irrelevant, and some unsafe for the PC. In the same way all educational organsiations have to filter the internet sites available to their students. david --- "Anna A.W.
