Hi Sarah My nephew, who has ASD (and can read - he is 7 1/2) loves the BBC Dance Mat Typing and is very motivated by it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/flash/stage1.shtml There are lots of tips and motivational interludes. My criticisms are that it does not record your accuracy nor does it have emphasis on speed or fluency. But it does build up in a nice way, with some practice of the letter patterns before moving on to typing real words using the relevant keys so you get used to typing common letter patterns. Definitely a good place to start IMHO. It's for a pupil with ASD who can read, of junior age and learning difficulties. We're looking for a step by step, motivational program. There are a few in Inclusive's catalogue, just wondered if anyone had used any. thanks Sarah ps I've ordered my headphones and mikes, thanks again for all the recommendations _________________________________________________________________ Share what Santa brought you https://www.mycooluncool.com= |
