A message from Charles Chen, developer of FireVox, the plugin for Firefox that reads Firefox content and menus announce a new version with enhanced Mac speech support. This seems to work well, but i'm sure he'd recieve any comments/bugs. It is free and open source. As Simon Judge suggested It might also be useful for people, for example, wanting to be able to access the internet on any machine with a USB port - by putting firefox and firevox on the same USB memory stick (http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable). Another program from Charles, "CLiCk, Speak" provides reading support for web pages. You can also find more Firefox features and add-ons for an accessible web experience at: http://www.accessfirefox.com -- Steve Lee -- Jambu - Alternative Access to Computers www.fullmeasure.co.uk ----o0o---- New version of Fire Vox released today. This is the release that Mac lovers have been waiting for! Support for the built-in Apple voices! I'd write more in this release post but I'm guessing that most Mac owners have already stopped reading at this point and are hitting my download page. This release also includes some optimizations/stability fixes for Orca users. [Note from Steve: Orca is a popular screen reader available on Linux] Enjoy!
