Article: [senit] Software for Sound Beam

Hi

Sorry for cross-posting...

Can anyone tell me what software they are using with their Sound Beams? A
music teacher who has been working with us is currently using Live (by
Ableton) but this does not provide a very user friendly interface for
non-techhie staff and definitely not for students. Does anyone else use Live
and what do they think? Or other software?

I am interested in anything you might be doing with Sound Beam on the
computer. Initially we just want to try and link up the Sound Beam to the
computer and play through it Windows Media Player so we can use the graphic
effects to provide an additional response to the children's movements, but
ultimately we'd like to use alternative sounds and perhaps look at
sequencing and recording children's output.

I'm not really up to speed on using a Sound Beam (it's a project for
September) so I'd really appreciate any information or comments.

Thanks,

Claire
