Article: [senit] voice output writing aid

Hi David, John et alia,

I may be wrong but I don't think you can buy a Dana in this country anymore
- something to do with it not meeting EEC regulations. If it is still on the
Don Johnston website, things may have changed - Jamie Munro may be able to
supply the details on the current situation.

Kind Regards,

Ann McDevitt,
Independent IT and SEN Consultant

Hi David

How about the combination of an Alphasmart Dana, with voice card and Write
Out Loud To Go?

A combination available from Don Johnston
http://www.donjohnston.co.uk/catalog/wolworproc.htm

However, at £399 for all the bits, it might actually work out as cheap to
get something like an Asus Eee PC laptop and choose a speech output
programme for that.

Cheers

John

yes it was the lightwriter not the explosive sounding dynamite!
however as you say expensive, is there nothing like a neo or
other cheap typing keyboard that has speech synth included?
