They normally get soft at about gas mark 6 or 7. Yes, I tried several months
back. If you put the CD ontop of a small jar inside the oven you can get quite
nice but not very practical triangular things. Pots are a lot more difficult.
One big problem is you do get loads of fumes coming off.

You can get quite nice patterns across the inside of the CD if you zap it in
the microwave for a few seconds at quite a low setting. Not sure how safe (or
useful!) this is though. Normal disclaimers apply!
