[senit] Unsubscribing from SENIT

Hello everyone,

Recently someone emailed me off-list because they had tried to unsubscribe
from SENIT (How could they do this ?) and were having much difficulty with
the process. I do not want to start a mad rush but I thought it might be
helpful to post some information about it - which I have to confess that I
got from Jason at BECTa.  As you can see, you need the password that is sent
to you automatically each month. Don't worry if you want to unsubscribe but
have lost/deleted the email etc; all is not lost - just email me off list.

To stop receiving messages on a permanent basis you need to:

Go to: http://lists.becta.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/SENIT
Scroll down to the section 'SENIT Subscribers'
Enter your email address opposite the 'Unsubscribe or edit options' button
Click Unsubscribe or edit options button

On the following page enter your password and click 'Log in'
You'll now be in Your SENIT Subscription Options. Tick the box next to 'Yes,
I really want to unsubscribe' in the 'Unsubscribing from trav-ed' section.
Then click on 'Unsubscribe'

Scroll down to the section 'SENIT Subscribers'
Enter your email address opposite the 'Unsubscribe or edit options' button
Click Unsubscribe or edit options button On the following page enter your
password and click 'Log in'
You'll now be in Your SENIT Subscription Options.
Scroll down to the 'Mail delivery' section and select Disabled. Optionally
tick the 'Set globally' option to do this for all lists.
Click on Submit My Changes.

If you don't know your password you need to:
Go to: http://lists.becta.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/SENIT

Scroll down to the section ' SENIT Subscribers'
Enter your email address opposite the 'Unsubscribe or edit options' button
Click Unsubscribe or edit options button On the following page click
'Remind' under the 'Password reminder' heading
