Article: [senit] Touchscreen laptop

Does anybody know if the HP tx2050ea has a touchscreen that can be
used with a finger? It has a 12" screen and the price starts at £699
(not sure where it finishes!) so it could be a useful device IF it
can be used with a finger. The datasheets are vague - frequently
saying "optimised for pen input", but on one occasion saying " finger
and digitizer pen optimised".

I tried to contact HP directly to see if the 'touch screen' really is
a touch (ie finger-touch) screen, but gave up! I dialled one number
and eventually got through to someone in a call centre in India. He
didn't have the information on his data sheets, but put me on hold
(to Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabama!) and then transferred me to
someone else, who gave me a different number, which eventually
brought me back to the original call centre in India, where they
didn't have the information on their data sheets!
