Article: [senit] Switch access to music and video

In PPT2003 to extend Sally's pop video template guidelines
to have multiple photos -as long as you have a wav file not an mp3

you can do the following without apparent problems;
1.paste or insert the first photo
2. right click- custom animation- add effect- entrance-choose

effect
3.click on the effect , and change where it says on click to “with

previous” & effect options- put your wav sound
4.insert or paste the second photo- add effect- entrance- and

change where it says on click to “after previous”
5. repeat (4) another 5 times use a different effect each time

if you only have an mp3 file you can't do it that way but can do it as

follows- but with sometimes some temperamentalness..(& get the

same problems sometimes if insert the wav file as follows)

1.paste or insert the first photo
2. right click- custom animation- add effect- entrance-choose

effect
3.click on the effect , and change where it says on click to “with

previous”
4.insert or paste the second photo- add effect- entrance- and

change where it says on click to “after previous”
5. repeat (4) another 5 times use a different effect each time
6.insert the music file by going insert- movies and sounds-sound

from file
7. when the box comes up choose “automatically”
8. use the reorder arrow to make the music go to the first thing

played
9.change the music’s modify:play- start to “with previous”

sometimes when you do this procedure the animations play one after

the other *until you put the music in (as above)
then the music plays but only the first animation plays- if you then

change the "timing" of the first photo (step 1-3 above) to repeat
twice ,-the whole animation plus sequence works, and then if you

change it back to no repeat- the sequence still works! (but not

always) .Is this a bug? How would you make the powerpoint pop
videos with mp3 files more reliably?
Thanks
David
