Article: Schools Access Initiative

At Eggbuckland Community College, we have been successful in applying
for funds from the Schools Access Initiative Fund on two occasions. The
first time, we were granted £3000 for the installation of loop systems
in our Hall and Drama Studio and the second time we were awarded £23000
after making a joint bid with Eggbuckland Vale Primary School for a Deaf
Alerter System.

RNID would like to learn how the Schools Access Intiative fund has been
used to support deaf pupils in schools. Your accounts of the process
for applying for funds (successful and unsuccessful) and the uses to
which the money has been put would be most welcome.
