Article: vi-forum Braillenote users club

Dear All

Caught up with some of Pulsedata recently and they mentioned a couple of
interesting things. They have a beta version of an MP3 player for the
Braillenote family which means that pupils can play these downloaded files
in future, through built in speaker or plug in some external ones, the
quality is good. Storage is best on a compact flash card, as MP3s can get
quite large.

They also have a Braillenote club, for younger users, and membership gets
you some great freebies, plus the chance to swap ideas and thoughts with
other users around the world. It would be a good way to use the email
feature of the BN with a purpose, thereby fulfilling NC orders and
practising this valuable skill with the notetaker.

I'm sure PD don't mind me advertising this for them. If you contact Martin
Griffiths at the company, he can let you know how students might join the
Braillenote club

Yours

Will
